ISN'T IT PRETTY?!

XDDD I'm really proud of this year's card. I love it. ;w; I also go over the Merry Christmas part with a gold color pencil so it shimmers and make custom envelops to match the card perfectly.

I'm posting it now because of all the crazy time differences~ And it's Christmas Eve anyway.

Watermark simply because I do not want people to use this as their own.

Anyway. Nicolle's present came today. It's an Edgeworth phone strap. :3 Anushiki's present came yesterday and the chocolate I ordered came on the 22nd. So the only thing that still has to come is JD's second gift. :3 I hope it comes on the 26th. That'd be awesome. XD

Today has been a little hectic. I was running around this morning with a pen getting my dad, brother and uncle to sign all the cards that were getting mailed/handed off. And the 6 cards that were to be mailed were mailed today. Finally. >_>; They all say Happy New Year too so they won't be for naught.

My dad finally made me a middle shelf so I went about removing the items from where it was to be installed and now I've got to put everything back and whatnot. He's also arranging a new sort of wig head stand for me. It's going to be fastened to the side of my closet that sticks out above my dresser. The wigs are going to be hung on their wig heads from hooks of PVC pipe so that they stand. The prototype he made is a little off in measurements so he might be reworking it, but it looks pretty neat so far. When it's done, I'll post/link to some pictures.

My godmother was suppose to come by today because she has gifts for my brother and I but she did a lot of running around so we'll get them Sunday. Speaking of gifts, though, Lia got me a fantastic black cardigan (I wanted one forever and a day) and Nicolle gave me a Borders gift card~ which is neat 'cause there's definitely some manga I've been eyeing. *teehee* Nicolle told me that this was half of my gift since she's still in the process of making me a doll. I don't quite understand why she got me the card if she's putting so much time into making a doll, but I like it nonetheless. :3 I have an idea of what the doll might be, too. XD Erica called me a little while ago asking me if I have an iPod... I wonder what that's about. O_o;

We're going to have raamen tonight and watch Fringe and then go to Midnight Mass. Tomorrow we're getting Boston Market for dinner, going to see Sherlock Holmes and chilling. Gotta make sure to eat Pumpkin Pie and Eggnog too. :3

I'm almost done with the cards. I have two (maybe three) left to address and make envelops for. I'll be sending out the ones that need to be mailed tomorrow.

I ended up getting assigned more hours for work today which is pretty nice since it's the holidays and I'm on break. I'm now working on the 23rd, 27th and 30th. :D

I'll be finishing my shopping tomorrow. I need to go to two places for three items. I might pick up some wig heads while I'm at this one place. We'll see.

I saw Nicolle today. She came over to pick up her sewing stuff and Emmaline, our sewing machine. I gave her her and her mom's Christmas card too. Somehow though, she managed to lock her keys in the car. XD She used my laptop to find the number for Honda Roadside Assistance but it turned out to be the wrong number. Luckily they directed her to the right one and we ended up chatting outside for a half an hour waiting for Pop-a-Lock or something.

In addition to the work dates, I'm going to see Justin on the 26th. We had to schedule the date because he's going to be out of town for most of the break. He comes back from AZ the 23rd, leaves again after Christmas on the 28th for CA and comes back before school starts up again.

On the 29th I might be participating in a photoshoot with some friends; Kirky, Mel, and Karen at the least. It's at Kirky's house in Coconut Grove. I might have a ride with Karen though. We'll have to see. My main role will be photographer but I'm invited to bring a costume to be photographed if I like. I was thinking about bringing Subaru or Haruhi since they don't have very many photos, especially good ones. Which brings me to my dilemma...

Today was nice. :3

I didn't end up going to the Alumni Day because of all the rain. Buuut, I worked on my Christmas card all day long and finished it! ^_^ I'm really proud of it. I think it looks really amazing. XD I kind of want to post it to dA now, but I wonder if I should wait till Christmas...

After talking with Foos about the SuperCon issue, I've come to the decision to take back my statement about their contests being rigged.

I will say that I came to the conclusion that their award format needs work and maybe once, a while ago, the contest was rigged to some degree... Perhaps this has all changed now, but one of the reasons that Kin and I did not win in '08 seems to have been simply that we won Best in Show at ChibiPa when I read on the site that "a person may enter if they have won a major award at a smaller convention" and then told as we were signing up that ChibiPa was considered a smaller convention.

Also, considering we lost against a group that had no wigs and whose appearance even looked rushed and sloppy, this was again a major upset.

I would also like to state officially that I was in NO WAY claiming that Mike talked to MTV about not filming at our club's party, or at least I did not mean it that way. In fact, the business concerning our club and MTV is entirely the fault of MTV and I was extremely more upset with them about that business than Mike.

I'm not saying that I take back everything I said, either. Just what I've stated above.

That being said, I am done with this SuperCon issue. Yes, I still have my qualms with it. But I'm through with talking about them outside of the context of a con review.

Once again, I'd like to thank Foos for speaking with me. I really appreciate it. ^_^
